"Why couldn't you be more like your brother?" Reon looked angrily at the ground. This was just one of those days when his mother would scold him and lecture him about Shoon not being like that. Every year he had been walking after his big brother's footsteps... Joining Jyanni's Jimusho made his relationship just a tad bit harder. 'Who am I kidding?' Reon thought to himself after another long session with his mother.

Passing by Shoon's room, his said brother called out his name. When he did stop, his brother was right in front of him. Shoon held his brother's shoulder and leaned his forehead against the younger one's. "Don't listen to her." Shoon said, looking into Reon's eyes. "She doesn't mean it." Closing his eyes, he let each word sink in to his younger brother. Reon closed his eyes as well and just sighed.

A few moments of silence and staying still, Reon said, "I've got to do homework." Shoon blinked at him, but let go nonetheless. "Besides... Yabu-kun might have been waiting too long." Shoon's face expression changed as he blushed. Reon smiled, amused at his brother's reaction and made his way towards his own room, ignoring his brother's protest.

Shoon stopped protesting and smiled sadly as his younger brother walked away. His mother was never this hard. Shoon walked back into his own room. He took his cellphone to his ear. "Hello?" He said.

"Everything okay?" The person on the other end asked. "Yeah, I guess..."

"KOTA!!!!" Shoon winced, hearing a crash on the other side of the phone line. "I'm going to have to tak to you tomorrow. I think everyone's in trouble." Shoon made a sound of approval and said goodbye. When the phoneline was officially busy, Shoon sighed tiredly. He should continue his report... Then a sound from his cellphone. '1 message received'.

'Ahaha... Gomen, Shoon. (^-^); Apparently I AM in trouble. Just sneaking this message away. Guess I just wanted to say good night, ne? (^3^)v Good night.'

Shoon smiled. He was tempted to reply back, but knowing Yabu's mother (and sister), the scolding would take a while. As he sat on his desk chair, he smiled. Then he shook his head, smiling before going back to his report.

"Come on, Reon! Your brother was never like that!", "Put yourself together, man! I'm sure Shoon's not that bad!", "If only you're like Shoon..."

Reon fisted his hands and was about to scream. Why couldn't his mother just say, "Good for you, Reon." His name wasn't Shoon and he doubt he'll ever be like his brother. He hugged his knees to his chest and started blocking everything out. And for the time being, the silence adn darkness was his sanctuary.

Footsteps... soft but firm... Reon snuggled and tried to hide himself under his blanket. He knew those footsteps, and he was sure he didn't want to hear anything else she has to say. The door was opened oh-so-carefully, Reon shut his eyes. Fingers through his hair and weight was added on the right side of the bed. The door was left open, so light gleamed brightly.

"I was harsh on you, wasn't I..." Reon's eyes snapped open. His heart was beating fast. He didn't know if he should be terrified or happy about it. "I've talked to your father..." That was the line. This was going to end bad... "From now on, you're going to Shoon's old High School." And he snapped.

Reon sat up, his eyes slightly wide, breathing slightly normal. "Mom--"

"We've talked about it and we think it's for the best, Reon. Your brother knows where to go, how the school system is, and what the status quo would be. I'm sure his old friends and bandmates are still there." If his mother wouldn't stop, Reon felt like he was going to explode. When he thought he was going to shout, someone knocked at the door. Reon opened his eyes and saw Shoon on the doorway. "Mom... stop. Please just... stop. Let Reon go back to bed."

For the first time, Reon thought their mother was going to say something back at Shoon for interrupting. But she just nodded and kissed bother of them good night.

Shoon smiled at Reon before slowly closing the door. "Wait... aniki..." Reon whispered and Shoon turned around. The older sibling looked at him curiously. "If... it's not a bother... can you... uhm..." Shoon smiled, stepped in Reon's room and closed the door behind him before making his way towards the bed.

"Scoot. God knows how much you move in your sleep. G-night." Reon smiled and did what his brother told him. His back facing hoon, he whispered softly, "Thank you..." Shoon smiled before finally closing his eyes.

"So you mean Reon's going to our High School instead?" Yabu looked at Shoon who seemed to be in deep thought. After waiting a while, the older Yamashita brother sighed. "I know I shouldn't worry, the three of you would still be there, and I know you'll watch him for me, but I think the pressure our mother's giving him might just be too much." Shoon babbled and sighed. Yabu took a few seconds.

"I guess... I know how he feels." Shoon looked at the other boy beside him. "Before I entered Jyanni's, I was under the shadow of my brother too. My sister, being the only one, didn't have that kind of pressure, so that literally left me. But joining made me realize that focusing your entire life for your parents' approval isn't worth it. I'm just lucky to have realized that before I wasted my teenage years." Yabu stood up, ready to go to the stage. "What I'm trying to say is, he has to realize his own self-worth. And I know you'll be there to help him." He smiled and left the room.

Shoon just looked at the door where Yabu took his leave. Hikaru popped up and called him on stage. The older Ya-Ya-yah member shook his head, smiling. "Sometimes I wonder if you are who I think you are, Kota... I really do..."

Reon sighed. He didnt' want to go to that school. Well, sure it'll be fun with Yabu-kun, Hikaru-kun, and Taiyo-kun, but to follow his brother's footsteps again... He sighed. "Does sighing run in the Yamashita family?" Reon looked up and saw Yabu fixing his bag. Then the leader faced him. He snapped awake, "Ah! No-- no... it doesn't. What made you think that?" Yabu shook his head.

"Hope you won't get offended... but you're really like your brother." Reon blinked. He looked back down to the floor. After a while he smiled and shook his head. "It didn't offend, don't worry." Yabu just smiled slightly.

"You don't have to prove to anyone who you are, Reon. You are who you are, and following your brother's footsteps isn't going to change that." Yabu ruffled Reon's hair and laughed. "I've always wanted to do that." And he left. Reon blinked and smiled, returning to his bag. He shook his head and whispered, "No wonder Shoon's in love with you..."

He was going to Shoon's old school tomorrow. Unlike normal newcomers, he wasn't excited or nervous at all. In fact, he wasn't even looking forward to seeing Yabu-kun, Hikaru-kun, or Taiyo-kun either. With no offense, of course. He just thought seeing them for rehersals and taping was enough. Though maybe, by the end of the day, his mother will ask him how school was...

His day wasn't much different. Everything seemed like his supposed school. Of all things his mother told him, this had to be the most idiotic one ever. Reon walked around to check the campus. It was a Saturday, so classes were only until lunch.

As the young Yamashita sibling read the map, and his schedule at the same time, he made his way to the field. He looked to his left to see that it was another building. Reon checked his map again and looked inside. 'Home economics?' He thought. He looked at his schedule, and continued walking.

His nose was buried on the campus map that he didn't notice a leg was stuck out under a tree... so he tripped. Luckily, learning dance moves from his brother taught him how to break a fall. When he made sure he wasn't hurt, he glared at the person.

The boy underneath the tree snored softly and grunted, feeling something hit his ankle. Reon stared and smiled. "Typical... Taiyo-kun sleeping near a building where they cook food." He walked towards the older boy and sat beside him under the tree. He smiled wider and closed his eyes. Maybe it was a good thing to come here after all...

Note: NOT THE END. It's to be continued. If I get the insperation. I hope you like it. X3 My second time in writing. If you've read my microphone fic, then thank you. That is all~ X]
